The One Habit That Changes Everything: Just Show Up

The Power of Showing Up: Why Consistency Wins Every Time

Why Showing Up Matters

Success isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment. It’s about showing up—again and again—whether you feel like it or not.

Whether it’s success in business, music, life or behind closed doors - showing up for yourself is powerful.

The simple act of being present, consistently putting yourself out there in the arena, is what separates those who dream from those who achieve.

1. Momentum Comes from Action

I know this from experience - Too often, we get stuck in overthinking, waiting for the right inspiration or energy to strike. But action creates momentum.

The more you show up, the easier it becomes to keep moving forward.

Progress isn’t made in huge leaps—it’s built in the small, daily steps that add up over time.

The power of showing up and being consistent—this one is huge!

It’s something I’ve personally struggled with on my journey. There are definitely days that feel better than others, but I’ve learned that consistency is a muscle. The more you strengthen it, the easier it becomes to keep moving forward.

2. Discipline Beats Motivation

Motivation can be temporary and unreliable.

Some days, you’ll wake up energised; other days, you won’t.

But discipline—the commitment to show up even when you don’t feel like it—builds true success.

It’s in those ‘I don’t feel like it’ moments that you grow the most.

Whether it’s business, life, art, or creativity, there are always going to be days when you don’t feel like showing up.

Some days, I don’t feel like talking, writing music or writing this blog, I feel like I’ve got nothing to share.

But I’ve learnt to hit record, write the blog, do the work, and show up.

Maybe I won’t share the work publicly, but the fact that I made a decision to stay consistent - That’s powerful.

You’re already ahead of others. That’s a win.

3. Opportunities Find Those Who Show Up

Consistency isn’t just about personal growth—it attracts opportunities.

When you show up regularly, especially in the public arena - you put yourself in the right place at the right time, increasing your chances of meeting the right people, landing the right gigs, and unlocking doors you didn’t even know existed.

How exciting is that???

Don’t limit the possibility of giving your dreams a chance to take off because you were too scared to take a chance on yourself, to fail, to share your vulnerability and growth in front of others.

We all start somewhere - so start today, put yourself out there and do the work!

Small tip: Remember to NOT concern yourself too much with how these opportunities will find you - that’s not up to you but believe me they will. Just trust the process and enjoying doing the work!

4. Your Future Self Will Thank You

Every time you push past that inner resistance and show up, you’re investing in your future. You’re building skills, resilience, and a track record that will compound and pay off in ways you can’t yet see.

Imagine looking back a year from now and seeing how far you’ve come—not because you had all the answers, but because you kept showing up.

Now that’s is exciting and powerful!

5. Showing Up Builds Identity

Each time you follow through on a commitment, you reinforce the belief that you are the kind of person who takes action. Identity shapes reality.

When you consistently show up, you’re not just working towards a goal—you’re becoming the person who achieves it. The future person you’ve always dreamed of becoming!

6. Show Up For Yourself: Not For Others

If you only worry about doing the work to get the big opportunities and to impress others you will soon find yourself unhappy and unsatisfied in the ‘doing’ of the work.

You will start choking your dreams, holding on too tight to your expectations and not ever being fully satisfied with your work and the results - because your happiness and results will rely on things out of your own control - other people and their opinions.

Showing up is like meditation work. It’s personal, it’s sacred.

You might miss a day here and there but the more you do it, the more you acknowledge your own attendance, the more it becomes part of your routine and the more you enjoy the flow of just doing the work.

Not for public praise and validation from others - but for the simple joy of enjoying the process, enjoying the journey and saying to yourself “I am proud of myself. I showed up again today”.

Final Thought: Just Start Now, You’ll Never Be Ready.

A property expert and family friend recently told me when talking about buying property “It will never be the right time to buy. Don’t wait on the market. If you want get your foot into property - The best time to buy is now.”

And there’s a principle of truth in there for life; There’s never going to be a right time. The best time is now

Don’t wait for the stars to align. Don’t wait for the perfect plan. Just start. The real magic happens in starting and in the doing.

For you it might start with the first step of just showing up privately and proving to yourself that you are committed to this journey.

Then when you’re ready - take that leap of faith and start showing up publicly.

Showing up is the bridge between where you are and where you want to be.

And the more you do it, the more unstoppable you will become.

Show up today and do the work x

I hope these thoughts and ideas help you unblock new flows into your life and unlock new possibilities for you creatively in your personal life or your entrepreneurial business journey.

Be gentle with yourself. Take it slow but be consistent. Be purposeful with your energy, be present to your surroundings and be open to the opportunities the universe has in store for you.

Stay tuned for more because we’re on this journey together.

Big love x
